Examinations

Two types of Examination are held for Umpires:

County Grade - Entry Level for new Umpires
National Grade - Upgrade Examination for County level Umpires

The basic content of the examinations follows the same syllabus, the National Training Manual.
There are 3 sections to the exams - Theory paper, Oral questions and Practical tests.

Please note that the International Grade is obtained by selection only.

Umpires are expected to attend a training course every four years during which they will be assessed on their competence and deportment.
