The Laws of the Sport of Bowls

The sport of Lawn Bowls is played in accordance with the Laws of the Sport Crystal Mark Edition.

The Laws of the Sport are currently copyrighted by World Bowls Ltd for this reason we are unable to reproduce these Laws on this website.

At the World Bowls Biennial Council Meeting held in Melbourne on 25 March 2006, Member National Authorities approved the Laws of the Sport of Bowls – Fourth Edition (second draft).

This edition of the laws (now renamed ‘Crystal Mark Edition’) now applies worldwide

24th January 2008
At the biennial meeting of World Bowls held in Christchurch, New Zealand on 24th January 2008, a notice of motion to amend Law 15.2 (Tie Breaker) was approved. The amended Law has been incorporated into the Laws of the Sport and is effective immediately.
